“Akrafjall, Atlantic Ocean and me” is a triangulation where Lucrezia, through a ritual gesture, brings the mountain and the ocean together. Indeed, thousands of years ago, the sea level was higher and Akrafjall was an island surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. Nowadays, after the last ice age and a long and steady land uplift, there are several kilometres between the mountain and the ocean. Her desire was to let them touch again, so she collected some seawater and walked up the mountain, where she poured it, and then she did the same with the gravel of the mountain, that she brought to the sea. The vessel and the photographs are the witness of this gesture.
